Preparation is key to a successful procedure. Dr. Tehrani will review preparation instructions with you, including:
- Avoid nicotine and alcohol before and after the treatment. These substances can hamper the body’s healing process and extend your recovery.
- Avoid certain blood thinning medications and supplements. These can increase the risk of excessive bleeding and bruising.
- Arrange for transportation. This depends on what area is treated and what type of anesthesia is used, but we don’t recommend driving after your procedure.
Enzolift
Enzolift is performed right in our office using only local anesthesia and cool helium steam. It involves a tiny incision so that the energy can penetrate the deeper layers of the skin. There, it stimulates collagen fibers and contracts the collagen matrix, causing the skin to immediately pull back and retract. Due to the anesthesia and cool helium steam, you’ll feel virtually nothing. You can see results within a day or two, meaning you can instantly see the payoff for your treatment.
Renuvion
Renuvion uses radiofrequency energy in combination with helium to shrink skin and improve contours. However, it uses a wand inserted under the skin, which can disrupt the tissues and lead to a longer downtime. For most patients, some discomfort is normal for a few days afterward, similar to an intensive workout. Because of the radiofrequency energy and helium gas, it’s also common to experience heat buildup and a more uncomfortable treatment process.
Enzolift Recovery
You can return to work two days after your Enzolift skin resurfacing treatment, but it’s best to avoid any strenuous activity for the next week. Mild swelling and bruising can show for the next two weeks – this is completely normal.
Depending on the treatment area, a compression garment might be recommended to help healing and shape your results.
