Keep Your Arms Toned After Brachioplasty

image-armliftBrachioplasty, as with most cosmetic procedures, does not provide lifetime results. Although this is so, the results of plastic surgery can surely be kept for a much longer time. All you have to do is keep your doc’s instructions in mind, follow them religiously, and keep an effective exercise routine to maintain your toned arms.

Overhead Tricep Extension

You don’t have to go the gym every day to perform this exercise. However, it would help if you have a bench or dumbbells at home. If you don’t, you can always improvise with a chair and weighted bags to perform a quick workout for your arms.

With your feet planted on the ground, sit straight, grasp a dumbbell or two and raise them above your head. Then, slowly bend the elbows and lower the weights toward the back of your head in a 90-degree angle. Slowly and gradually straighten back your arms to the original position. Make about 15 to 20 repetitions of this routine.

Triceps Press Up

When no dumbbells are to be found, you can simply lie on your stomach and do push-ups. Place both hands beside the chest while keeping the elbows tight to your ribs and slowly press up using your triceps for support. You can do 20 reps of this routine.

Alternating Hammer Curls

Stand with your feet wide apart while holding a weight in each of your hands. Then, curl an arm straight up while your palm faces your body. Lower that arm and repeat the same motion, this time, with your opposite hand. Do about 15 to 20 repetitions of this exercise for each arm. This can help keep those lean arms sculpted.
