Breast Augmentation: Looking at Cup Size

breast augmentationDeciding to have your breasts enlarged is major. This is not a decision that our patients come to lightly, and we respect the process. More than that, we facilitate the best possible result by guiding each patient to the desired outcome. This may seem like a simple step; but it may not be – unless you really know what you’re after.

What often happens is that a woman decides to have breast augmentation, and then she visits the plastic surgeon looking for a specific cup size. Her girlfriends or family may try to help by encouraging “you would be a beautiful C cup!” This isn’t necessarily the end-all be-all of breast augmentation.
A beautiful body is all about proportions, not about the size of any singular feature. Plus, cup size is more subjective than one may imagine. With a little investigation, it becomes obvious that a C cup will look different across a number of body types.

What Does this mean for You?
Dr. Tehrani is known by our patients for his outstanding surgical skill and the personal pride he takes in the performance of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. When you visit one of our offices, you will discuss your intended outcome, and will also have the opportunity to look at Before and After images. Again, if you know what to look for here, you will be well on your way to enhancing your body in the most beautiful way.

A Critical Look at Before and After Images
Where you start in your observation can make a world of difference in your breast augmentation surgery. Going back to the fact that any given cup size will look a certain way on each physique, we recommend observing only images that resemble your own body. Looking at images of women whose body type is far different than yours will mean that their After images will not be an accurate depiction of what you could look like.

You can learn a lot by looking at images to help you make decisions about your own breast augmentation. However, nothing replaces the attention to detail provided by your experienced plastic surgeon. To discuss what is possible for your appearance, call (760) 240-2444.
